XOI2506 in World War 3
XOI2506 was acquired by Quietus Productions in 2005 for use
in the filming of "Children of Men", a gritty story set in a grim war-torn
future. Its appearance was completely transformed from the attractive lines of
its Alexander (Belfast) bodywork to armoured prisoner transportation vehicle.
The two photos below show the before and after condition of the RELL6G. After
filming 2506 was eventually sold to a private owner in Norfolk for conversion to
a mobile home, but this was never completed and it was sold to preservationists for spares use at Wythall Bus Museum.
