294 emerged from the paintshop in 2013 carrying Carter livery as it will be earning its keep in the operational fleet

294's restoration was painstaking and time-consuming. Viv worked on it on and off for five years. Here it is seen in March 2010 almost ready for repaint

By the time it was recovered by Viv Carter it had deteriorated quite considerably

294 was withdrawn with a seized engine and then sat outside in Frank Jordan's yard for quite some time with several windows missing

VR294 was the last VR style body to leave ECW and was allocated from new to Lowestoft in recognition
