Very regrettably 273 was destroyed in an apparent arson attack at Rushden in May 2015. All that hard work wasted in a single mindless act

A program of renovation was undertaken at Rushden and the extent of the work on chassis and body can be seen in this June 2010 view (Dave Beardmore)

273 passed into preservation on withdrawal from service. It was restored in this Tilling-style livery and was a familiar sight on the rally scene in the 1980s and 1990s (John Hammond)
